Introduction

The goal of the three-year Goldsmithing Techniques course of Harim is training students who aim at starting a career as professional jewels designers and gold lab technicians. The training program focuses on crucial skills to create refined jewelry products, from the theoretical aspect to the practical application of all techniques related to mounting of precious stones, thanks to practical lessons in labs, carried on from the very first year. The outgoing figure is a professional gold technician able to create high-quality jewelry products thanks to manual skills acquired during the three academic years.

Admission to the goldsmithing techniques course

Italian and foreigners citizens with a high school diploma or a degree can enroll in this course. This course is for a limited number of students only which have to pass an aptitude test and a preliminary interview. You can make a reservation for the selections at any time of the year, by phone or by e-mail.

Duration of the course
The Goldsmithing Techniques course is three-year long. The academic year starts in October and ends in May. The educational program offers a full immersion of 8 hours a week in labs (8 hours a day once a week) plus some hours dedicated to oral subjects. This program is suitable for non-resident students. Our information office is at students’ beck and call for advice about the choice of the course and the planning accommodation of non-resident students. During the academic year, the competence of students is evaluated with oral exams and projects.
Job opportunities
Italian goldsmithing industry is a key element of made-in-Italy handicraft and it has a top-position in the international market. Outgoing figures are high-trained lab goldsmiths, who can work in industrial, semi-industrial and artisan companies but also in specialized professional studios.
Graduation release
At the end of the course, a three-year Goldsmithing Techniques diploma is released to students.

Our placement service helps students select and evaluate job and internship proposals and helps them create their CV and portfolio in Italian and in English. It is a complete placement and guidance service that works with students in order to let them take part in international contests, events and sector fairs.
