The Fashion Styling & Communication course aims at training a professional figure who masters skills both in the consultancy and fashion styling sector and in the management of new digital communication tools. Students of this course are able to give professional specific advices to companies of the fashion sector, with particular attention to communicative aspects. Moreover, these competences allow the new professional to master web platforms and social media and the retail process, that is product commercialization.

The whole training offer gives the chance to students to become complete fashion stylists; this figure is an images creator, who works with beauty and whose talent is improved by subjects studied during the course. Fashion culture acquired gives to the fashion stylist the chance to design photo shoots, videos, fashion films and fashion events organization.

Competences 

Thanks to this course, students have the opportunity of developing their artistic perception and setting their passion of the fashion field free, acquiring skills related to history of fashion, fashion photography, psychology of the visual perception, communication, English language, processing of digital images, journalism, events organization, marketing and merchandising. Moreover, attention is drawn to the Retail area, which focuses on the analysis of all phases of the retail process and on its main figures.

Goals

The fashion styling and communication course aims at training experts in the digital communication and in styling. Social networks have changed people and society and, at the same time, style is constantly and rapidly evolving. Students of this course can develop digital communication plans for companies and use social media with marketing and advertising purposes. They also get in touch with the whole retail process of fashion products, in particular with its phases and its main figures. At the same time, the course aims at creating creators of style, able to produce new trends, to design a photo shoot and to work with designers during runway shows or advertising events. The main goal is training a communication expert who also masters fashion styling world. The outgoing figures play key roles in fashion companies, because they are a link among publishing, sector style and events production and organization.

Admission to the Fashion Styling and Communication course 

Italian and foreigners citizens with a high school diploma or a degree can enroll to this course. This course is for a limited number of students only which have to pass an aptitude test and a preliminary interview. You can make a reservation for the selections at any time of the year, by phone or by e-mail.

Duration of the course
The Fashion Styling and Communication course is three-year long. The academic year starts in October and ends in May. The educational program is structured with 12 hours a week with some extra-hours for some communication subjects. This program is suitable for non-resident students. Our information office is at students’ beck and call for advices about the choice of the course and the planning accommodation of non-resident students. During the academic year, the competence of the student is constantly evaluated with oral exams and projects.
Job opportunities
Thanks to a complete cultural and visual training in the field of fashion, photography, publishing and of fashion system dynamics, the outgoing figure can work in different contexts like communication companies, newsroom and fashion magazine, television, showrooms, press offices or styling agencies; but he / she can also work in the Retail sector, so in showrooms, stores or in every kind of point-of-sale, or above all start a commercial activity specialized in the use of social media as a link between companies and clients.
Graduation release
At the end of the course a three-year diploma in Fashion Styling and Communication is released to students.
Post-curricular area
Our placement service helps students select and evaluate job and internship proposals and helps them create their CV and portfolio in Italian and in English. It is a complete placement and guidance service that works with students in order to let them take part in international contests, events and sector fairs.
