Over the last few years, thanks to the development of new technologies, professional figures of the fashion sector have changed.

Digital development and new informational tools have deeply affected manufacturing sector and its figures. The evolution of tailoring technologies of the fashion system has deeply changed how tailors and fashion designers work so they had to adapt by developing new skills related to the digital and IT field. Nowadays the practical know-how is totally linked to the digital know-how: modern fashion designers must know how to use digital tools and design software.

The two-year Fashion Technology course aims at training complete professionals able to master all the required skills to design men/women collections, to use digital software for the 2D and 3D modeling and to master haute couture tailoring. Another part of the course is dedicated to the knowledge of raw materials and of products development, to the use of the 3D printer and to the analysis of working methods of the international fashion system.

Admission to the fashion technology course

Italian and foreigners citizens with a high school diploma or a degree can enroll to this course. This course is for a limited number of students only which have to pass an aptitude test and a preliminary interview. You can make a reservation for the selections at any time of the year, by phone or by e-mail.

Duration of the course
The Fashion Technology course is two-year long. The academic year starts in October and ends in May. The educational program offers a full immersion of 16 hours a week (8 hours a day two times a week). This program is suitable for non-resident students. Our information office is at students’ beck and call for advices about the choice of the course and the planning accommodation of non-resident students. During the academic year, the competence of students is evaluated with oral exams and projects.
Job opportunities
Thanks to the importance given to the professional aspect, this course provides students with a training that allows them to start, at the end of the two years, a wide range of fashion careers, highly requested in the fashion system: CAD fashion designer, tailor, textiles expert or product manager. Students can also work as freelancers, starting their own activity.
Graduation release
At the end of the course, a two-year Fashion Technology diploma is released to students.
