The Fashion Design Technology Master of Harim has a study plan that aims at training in a rapid but complete way professional figures who can work in every sector of the Fashion Design field. Its training proposal combines the Italian sartorial tradition with all changes having affected the Fashion Design world in the last few years at an international scale, with the purpose of drawing attention to the made-in-Italy sector. One of the main parts of the course focuses on new technological skills related to the design software CAD, an useful tool to rapidly design collections, cut and shape of textiles. Another part of the course is dedicated to subjects related to fashion products communication, whose mastery is a key element to meet all needs of a constantly evolving market. Finally, workshops allow students to get in touch with partner companies.

Goals

The main goal of the master is satisfying every needs of the fashion market, a constantly evolving sector always looking for complete professional figures able to master every aspect of the Fashion Designer profession. Thanks to a full immersion in the Fashion design world, this master provides students with all necessary skills to start a career in the complex fashion sector.

Faculty

Teachers are professionals of the sector, managers and consultants able to use a practical didactic method allowing students to a gradual and complete learning.

Admission to the Master

The master is for a limited number of students only. Students applying for the Master must send a CV and a short presentation letter to info@harim.it. The didactic secretariat will then call candidates for the selection, which consists of a motivational and technical interview. Scholarships and financings are provided to students.

Duration of the course
The master is for a limited number of students only and attendance is compulsory. Theeducational program offers a full immersion of 32 hours a week (8 hours a day, four times a week) plus some extra hours for oral subjects and workshops, taking place during weekends, a suitable formula for non-resident students. The Master is eight-month long, from October to May. Students can choose from a minimum of four to a maximum of six oral subjects and / or workshops in order to create a suitable study plan for their interests. Our information office is at students’ beck and call for advice about the choice of the course and the planning accommodation of non-resident students. During the academic year, the competence of students is evaluated with oral exams and projects.
Job opportunities
The outgoing figure is a Technological Fashion Designer who is able to manage every step of the creation process of a fashion product, thanks to a theoretical, practical and digital approach. This professional masters in particular those skills related to the use of CAD software, but developed also managerial and transversal competences.
Graduation release
At the end of the master, a certificate is released to students.
Post-curricular area
Our placement service helps students select and evaluate job and internship proposals and helps them create their CV and portfolio in Italian and in English. It is a complete placement and guidance service that works with students in order to let them take part in international contests, events and sector fairs.
