Introduction

The three-year Fashion Technology course has a training proposal that satisfies all needs of the constantly evolving fashion market. Over the last few years, thanks to new technologies, professional figures of the fashion field have evolved since digital development has deeply affected also manufacturing sector and its figures.

Competences

The evolution of tailoring technologies of the fashion system has deeply changed how tailors and fashion designers work so they had to adapt by developing new skills related to the digital and IT field. Nowadays the practical know-how is totally linked to the digital know-how: modern fashion designers must know how to use digital tools and design software, first of all fashion CAD.

Goals

The three-year Fashion Technology course aims at training technical / creative talents, able to master not only traditional skills of collections design and haute couture tailoring, but also all competences related to the use of digital software for the digital 2D and 3D modeling. Another part of the course is dedicated to the knowledge of raw materials, of products development and of working methods of the international fashion system.

Admission to the fashion technology course

Italian and foreigners citizens with a high school diploma or a degree can enroll to this course. This course is for a limited number of students only which have to pass an aptitude test and a preliminary interview. You can make a reservation for the selections at any time of the year, by phone or by e-mail.

Duration of the course
The Fashion Technology course is three-year long. The academic year starts in October and ends in May. The educational program offers a full immersion of 16 hours a week (8 hours a day two times a week). This program is suitable for non-resident students. Our information office is at students’ beck and call for advices about the choice of the course and the planning accommodation of non-resident students. During the academic year, the competence of students is evaluated with oral exams and projects.
Job opportunities
Thanks to the importance given to the professional aspect, this course provides students with a training that allows them to start, at the end of the three years, a wide range of fashion careers, highly requested in the fashion system: CAD fashion designer, tailor, textiles expert or product manager. Students can also work as freelancers, starting their own activity.
Graduation release
At the end of the course, a three-year Fashion Technology diploma is released to students.
Post-curricular area
Our placement service helps students select and evaluate job and internship proposals and helps them create their CV and portfolio in Italian and in English. It is a complete placement and guidance service that works with students in order to let them take part in international contests, events and sector fairs.
